Women and the Law

Utah Women and the Law -
A Resource Handbook

A major contribution of the Commission to the women in the state is the: Utah Women and the Law - A Resource Handbook

The resource handbook, in a question and answer format, covers legal topics of special concern or impact to women in such areas as consumer transactions, domestic relations, employment, education, and healthcare.

It is intended to provide the lay person with an initial source of general legal information but it also includes a listing of agencies and services available for more specific assistance.

The third edition was printed in 1998 with revisions pertaining to laws enacted through the 1998 Legislative Session.

Utah Women and the Law serves as a clear, straightforward, accurate and essential resource for Utah citizens.

A copy of the handbook can be borrowed from the S. J. Quinney Law Library, University of Utah, 322 South 1400 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112 call # KFU91 W6 A87, or telephone them at 801 581-6184.
