Brent Tanner

Biography

Brent Tanner was raised on a cattle ranch in Grouse Creek, Utah. He has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture Economics from Utah State University. His post graduate work was in Ranch and Land Management, also at Utah State University. He taught undergraduate courses in genetics and cattle ranch management at Utah State University.

Brent currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Utah Cattlemen's Association. He serves on several national beef industry committees and boards. Brent is also the Executive Director of the Utah Beef Council. He and his family continue to operate the family cattle ranch which is entering into the sixth generation of continuous family ownership. He is a partner in an Agri-Entertainment and tourism business.

Brent serves on the Utah Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom board of directors. He has served two terms on the Utah Domestic Elk Advisory Board with the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food. He previously served on Governor Michael Leavitt's Agribusiness Council.

Brent and his wife Conny reside in northern Davis County and are the parents of four children.
