Purpose
The Grants Clearinghouse serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) under Presidential Executive Order 12372, which governs the relationship between the state and the federal government with respect to the intergovernmental review of federal grants and direct development activities. Administers the State Federal Assistance Management Act (Section 63-40), requiring review of all state grant applications filed with the federal government.
Functions
Review and analyze grant applications
Identify discrepancies in proposals
Determine if applications are in conformance with state, federal, and local requirements, regulations, and criteria for approval.
Conduct daily review of the Federal Register to identify grant availability, awards, and notices.
